Adobe’s compatibiliy issue with Mac OS X Leopard
April 3, 2008I wasn’t aware of the case-sensitive hfs+ file system in OS X until Leopard but now this is an obvious feature in the installation process. One of the strongest arguments for Mac OS X is the fact that it’s now a fully standards compliant UNIX. But there are programmers who still have problems with writing proper software. Don’t use Adobe software! Otherwise you might be prompted to install your OS once again because the file system is not supported. I had to read this message several times because I couldn’t imagine Adobe to write sloppy software. The excuse of Adobe is a tech note which states that they were not prepared because they couldn’t imagine apple was going to introduce case-sensitivity. What about the BSD subsystem? I am dull because I use and pay for Adobe software.
